About Us
Oban Filling Station is a busy, 365-day-a-year forecourt and convenience store on Soroba Road, Oban. We're looking for a hardworking, reliable team member who isn't afraid of graft and can turn their hand to whatever the shift needs — from the shop floor to our takeaway food counter.
The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 32 hours per week. The role combines retail duties with food service, so you'll need the versatility to move between the two as the shift demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve customers on the shop floor — tills, stock, and general retail duties
- Prepare and serve food from our takeaway/hot food counter (full training provided)
- Keep the store and food area clean, stocked, and running smoothly
- Handle busy periods calmly and keep standards high, day or night
What We're Looking For
- Must be 18 or over (we sell age-restricted products)
- Friendly, hardworking, and reliable — someone who turns up and gets stuck in
- Happy to be flexible across retail and food service duties
- Available for regular weekend shifts (this is a core part of the role)
- Willing to work occasional night shifts as needed
- Robust and comfortable in a fast-paced, physical, on-your-feet role
- No experience necessary — the right attitude matters more than your CV
