We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Science Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a reputable Birmingham secondary school. You will work closely with the science department, alongside experienced educators, to provide support for students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to raise attainment and foster a love of science.
What is the role?
As a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support teaching and learning during science lessons (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions for students needing extra support

Assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery

Help students to develop their confidence and independent learning skills in the science classroom

Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have:

A strong academic background, including a 2:1 or higher degree in a science-related subject from a leading university

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive, patient and adaptable approach

Experience working with children and young people (desirable but not essential)
