We are looking for a Grounds and Estates Operative to join our Grounds and Estates Team and assist to assist with a range of countryside management projects.
Key responsibilities
- Tree Watering - The main responsibility will be to implement our tree watering contract but may also include the following:
- Estates Maintenance – Maintenance of the estate grounds through grass cutting, path maintenance, hedge trimming, fence repairs, autumn leaf clearance, weed control, shrub and tree pruning using a wide range of tools and machinery.
- Gardens and Grounds – Maintenance of extensive gardens including formal borders, shrubs and lawns.
- Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) – Carry out control of INNS through hand puling, spraying and mechanical cutting.
- Tree Planting and Aftercare – Assist with the tree planting program ranging from large street trees, hedgerows and shrub planting. Ensure the establishment of planted stock through watering, mulching and replacing stakes and ties.
- Project work – ad hoc vegetation and scrub clearance, seeding and establishment and hedge flailing.
Core skills and requirements
- Practical habitat and estate management skills including the use of associated tools and machinery such as strimmers, ride-on and pedestrian mowers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, compact tractors and implements;
- Happy to work outside despite the weather conditions and difficult terrain;
- Excellent IT skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Good awareness of health and safety with experience of writing risk assessments.

Based at our Windsor Office nr Dorney.
The Package
- Full time (7am to 4pm, 5 days a weeks)
