We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Sales Manager to join our team. If you are passionate about building connections, spotting new business opportunities, and showcasing everything our unique venue has to offer, we want to hear from you.
The Role
As our Sales Manager, you will be the driving force behind maximising revenue across all areas of the hotel, including accommodation, conferences, and events. This is a brilliant opportunity to take ownership of our sales strategy, nurture existing client relationships, and proactively secure new local and national business.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new corporate, leisure, and event business opportunities to drive revenue.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with local businesses, event planners, and regular guests.
- Event Sales: Work closely with our team to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings for events, private parties, and conferences.
- Marketing Collaboration: Assist with creating promotional campaigns, managing local advertising, and representing the hotel at networking events.
- Market Analysis: Keep an eye on local market trends and competitor activity to ensure our offerings remain competitive and compelling.
- Reporting: Track sales KPIs and provide regular updates on pipeline performance to the senior management team.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter with a natural flair for communication and a passion for hospitality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a sales, business development, or account management role (experience within hospitality, hotels, or events is highly desirable).
- A proactive, target-driven mindset with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple enquiries efficiently.
- Knowledge of the Dorset/local corporate market is a distinct advantage.
