We are looking for a barista to join the team at Eight Coffee Co. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality drinks and great customer service.
The job will be a multi-location job working at Eight Coffee Co on Victoria Road & Taps by Eight Coffee Co on Queen Margaret Drive
You will be responsible for maintaining speed, consistency, and cleanliness on shift, while contributing to a positive and efficient team environment.
This job offers variable hours depending on availability
Flexibility may occasionally be required to support business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Drink Preparation
- Prepare espresso-based drinks to company standards
- Maintain consistency in recipes, milk texture, and presentation
- Work efficiently during high-volume service
- Prepare iced drinks, matcha, and specials correctly
- Dial in and adjust grinders where trained
- Brewing Coffee
- Maintaining Tap Cleanliness & Hygiene
Customer Service
- Deliver friendly, confident, and professional service
- Take orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle queues calmly during busy periods
- Represent the brand to a high standard at all times
Cleanliness & Organisation
- Keep the bar clean, stocked, and organised throughout shift
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Maintain high hygiene standards across all areas
- Take ownership of the shop environment
Teamwork & Operations
- Work effectively within a small team
- Communicate clearly during service
- Support colleagues to maintain smooth workflow
- Follow direction from supervisors and management
