The primary mission of the Kitchen Assistant at La Maison is to deliver efficient service by ensuring safe and high quality food is prepared, in a timely manner.
Performing various tasks including kitchen setup and preparation, ensuring food safety, partaking in food production and cleaning duties.
Good communication skills are essential as this role is our link with customers, Therefore, your role as Kitchen Assistant is vital to the success at La Maison.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of stations food stock in readiness for service
- Preparing food items to company specification
- Have previous knowledge and use of a rational cooking centre
- Using techniques such as grilling, frying, roasting etc to order specifications
- Maintain impeccable cleaning practices and food handling in line with company policies throughout the shift and before the shift end
- Perform stock rotation and storage procedures
About You:
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts throughout a 7 day rota.
- Culinary qualifications and experience
- Able to remain calm under pressure
- Accuracy and relevant speed in executing tasks
- Organisational skills
- Passion for working with food
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team member as well as individually
- Follow directions and instructions
- Willingness to learn
