Join our team as an Outreach Post Office Assistant and become a part of delivering vital services to Berkshire and Oxfordshire villages.
You will run a portable post office in two villages providing mailing and banking services to these communities.
You are the face of these Post Offices and need to be comfortable working alone, confident with customers and accurate handling money and stock. Previous retail experience is essential and Post Office counter experience is desirable. Full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving customers at the Post Office efficiently and accurately.
- Providing friendly and informative service
- Promoting and selling Post Office products and services including processing banking transactions and travel money.
- Processing cash, card payments and balancing transactions
- Selling mail services
- Adhering to all security procedures
Requirements
Your own car to drive from Pangbourne to the villages. Mileage is provided.
Able to lift 12kg easily
Comfortable using technology
Good level of numeracy and excellent communication skills
Reliable and punctual
Accurate with strong attention to detail
At least 1 year’s experience working in a retail environment srving customers
Pay: £17,304.00 per year
