Warehouse Operative

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative based in Silverstone. The successful candidate will perform warehouse and production duties, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor/Operations Director.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

- “Can do” attitude
- Role may involve carrying weights up to 25kg approx.
- Duties involve regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting
Warehouse/Production Duties
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor/Operations Director, the main duties of this role will include:
- All goods are booked in correctly, accurately and in a timely manner
- All packages & contents need to be of an exceptional standard before leaving our site
- All goods are dispatched correctly, accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensuring all goods are packed & shipped in accordance to legislation (IATA/ADR etc.)
- All courier paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- All new products are classified correctly (storage and transportation)
- All existing products are classified correctly (storage and transportation)
- Adhere to the company’s strict Health & Safety guidelines
- To keep work area clean and kept free of any hazards
- General cleaning duties
- Perform final quality inspection when trained and authorised
- Supplier Complaints need to be dealt with immediately and followed up to ensure a timely resolution
- Monitoring temperatures within the warehouse area and freezers
Other Duties
- General administration, filing and scanning documents
- Uphold all aspects of our Quality Management System
- All MSDS & TDS are updated and saved on Merlin and up loaded on the website
- All errors are to be recorded
- Communication with your Line Manager of any important and relevant issues
Further Details:
Warehouse Hours: 9am – 5pm (Mon – Fri with one-hour lunch break- 35 hour week)
Warehouse Based: Silverstone (car park facility available)
Salary: £24000 P/A
Holiday Entitlement: 20 days
Starting date: ASAP
(We do not offer private healthcare or sick pay)
