Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Workshop Controller to lead our service operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the efficient management of workshop activities, coordinate with technicians and parts departments, and ensure that customer vehicles are serviced to the highest standards. Your proactive approach will drive process improvements, uphold quality control, and support our commitment to exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Manage daily workshop operations to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinate scheduling of repairs and maintenance with service advisors and technicians.
- Oversee parts ordering, inventory management, and supply chain logistics using ERP systems such as SAP.
- Monitor work progress to ensure timely completion while maintaining high quality standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow processes and reduce waste.
- Conduct quality control checks on completed work to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Support assembly processes by providing mechanical guidance and process improvement suggestions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in workshop or service center management within the automotive or mechanical industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle assembly, repair procedures, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP or similar supply chain management software.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
