Duties
- Assist with daily horse care routines including feeding, grooming, and stable cleaning to ensure animals’ well-being.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing fencing, gates, and stable structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate equipment such as wheelbarrows, tractors, and other machinery for yard upkeep and animal care.
- Conduct routine inspections of the yard’s infrastructure, including fences, water systems, and equipment to identify repairs or hazards.
- Support horticultural activities by planting, pruning, and maintaining gardens or landscape features around the facility.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving feed bags, hay bales, or equipment to support daily operations efficiently.
Requirements
- Prior experience or interest in animal care, horticulture, or outdoor maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects regularly and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring feed quantities or calculating irrigation needs.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems or experience with horticultural practices is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to yard maintenance and animal safety.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
