We’re now looking for an Assistant Manager to join the management team and help us continue that success.
Saviour Bars is an independent hospitality group led by one of the UK’s most respected operators. We’re growing, but we’re not interested in becoming a faceless chain. Our venues have their own identity, their own regulars and a genuine connection to the communities around them.
The role
This is a hands-on leadership position in a busy, quality-led bar.
You’ll work closely with the Directors and Bar Manager, taking responsibility for shifts, developing the team and making sure our standards of service are delivered every day.
At The Northcote Saviour, we believe in proper hospitality. We want managers who are visible, engaging with guests, setting the energy in the room and showing their teams what great service looks like.
You won’t be managing the business from behind a laptop. You’ll be on the floor, leading from the front.
What we’re looking for
- Previous management or supervisory experience in a busy, quality-led bar, pub or restaurant
- A strong track record of leading, coaching and developing a team
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest engagement
- Experience working in an environment where service standards are a priority
- Good knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers and spirits, or a real desire to develop that knowledge
- A confident, natural host who enjoys talking to guests and building relationships with regulars
- Calm, organised leadership during busy services
- High standards of presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and the ability to bring energy to a team
Knowledge of the hospitality scene around Battersea, Clapham and Wandsworth would be a real advantage.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading busy shifts and setting the standard for the team
- Coaching and developing bartenders and front-of-house team members
- Delivering warm, attentive and genuinely personal service
- Building relationships with our regulars and local community
- Supporting recruitment, training and team development
- Maintaining excellent operational and compliance standards
- Supporting stock management, ordering and controls
- Working with the management team to drive sales and business performance
