Experienced Decorators Required – Sash Windows, Fire Doors & Member Accommodation – Central London
We are looking for experienced, qualified decorators to join our current programme of works in Central London.
The work includes:
- Sash window preparation and decoration
- Repair and painting of fire doors to a high standard (not full restoration)
- Member accommodation preparation and redecoration
The current work is expected to continue until approximately 18 September, working five days a week.
You may also be asked to assist on other London projects where required. This will always be discussed in advance.
Location: Central London – approximately 10 minutes from King’s Cross
Rate: £160–£180 per day, based on ability and experience
Trial: 1-week trial at a reduced rate, to be agreed

Duties
- Preparation and finishing of sash windows
- Hand sanding and correct preparation of timber
- Removing poor previous finishes, including runs, sags and heavy brush marks
- Filling and repairing damaged timber and surfaces
- High-standard surface preparation throughout
- Repairing and painting fire doors
- Preparation and redecoration of member accommodation
- General decorating duties as required
- Maintaining clean, tidy and professional workmanship at all times
Requirements – Non-Negotiable
- NVQ / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Painting & Decorating
- Valid CSCS card
- Must have completed a full apprenticeship
- Short courses or fast-track college qualifications are not accepted
- Proven experience with sash windows and detailed preparation
- Strong general decorating experience
- Ability to work unsupervised and maintain a consistently high standard
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
Progression
