Overview
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Ground Worker to join our dynamic construction a team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various ground-based tasks that ensure the successful completion of projects. Your hands-on approach, mechanical aptitude, and passion for outdoor work will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency on-site. You will be required to be multi skilled in groundwork tasks while working in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and initiative. Plant training is preferable either CPCS or NPORS dumper and roller.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance activities including planting, pruning, mowing, and turf care to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy.
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and wheelbarrows to perform groundwork tasks efficiently.
- Support the use of power tools and equipment like drills, saws, and trimmers for various construction and landscaping projects.
- Help with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and plant health.
- Support excavation activities using equipment such as mini excavators or similar machinery under supervision.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working around construction sites, gardens, or landscaped areas.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and hand tools is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina.
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and landscaping techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience operating small machinery such as excavators or similar equipment is beneficial but not required.
- Strong teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills on the job.

Pay: £20.00-£24.00 per hour
