Job Overview
We are seeking Residential Support Workers, BOTH days and nights, to join our team, at Little Wakering. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to the people that we support. Including their well-being and helping them achieve their personal goals. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing environment.
Duties
- Assist the individual in daily activities, promoting independence and personal development.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to the individual's needs.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to enhance the well-being of their care.
- Communicate effectively
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that may occur during care.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers and healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive support.
- Attend appointments or activities as required, ensuring the supported individual's safety at all times.
- Utilise IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Full training will be provided and NVQ qualifications are available following successful probation period.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Compassionate Nature: Patient and empathetic attitude, treating individuals with dignity and respect.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to interact with supported individuals, families, and professionals.
- Adaptability: Creative problem-solving skills to meet individual needs.
- Experience: Prior experience in care, including supporting people with learning disabilities in residential, community, or day services, as well as elderly care, is required.
Full training provided.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
