Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dog Handler to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with trained dogs to assist with security patrols, perimeter checks, and incident response. Your enthusiasm for animal care and commitment to safety will ensure a secure environment for our clients and their properties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols using trained dogs to monitor premises and identify potential security threats
- Assist in perimeter checks, ensuring fences and entry points are secure
- Respond promptly to security alerts or incidents with the support of your canine partner
- Handle and care for dogs, ensuring their well-being and readiness for duty
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to set up equipment or manage supplies
- Maintain detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and dog health records
- Collaborate with security teams to develop effective patrol routes and response strategies
Skills
- Veterinary experience or strong animal care background to ensure proper handling and health of working dogs
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and visitors
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties
- Knowledge of animal behavior and training techniques is a plus
- Strong communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
