Job Purpose
To assist the Planning Manager to ensure that plots are batched and scheduled to production, aligning with glass ordering to meet customer delivery demands. Ensuring that flow of information and paperwork is seamless and meets production requirements, aligning with available resource enabling production to meet targets. Adopting a flexible approach to all tasks within the department to ensure that the business fulfils its delivery requirements.
Effective planning coordination is essential for maintaining organisational efficiency and meeting customer requirements.
Duties
· Responsible for the procurement of glass materials required for Newbuild , Trade and Aluminium department.
· Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance planning and scheduling processes.
· Manage and track date changes for various jobs, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely completion.
· Maintain a detailed record of all remake glass in a spreadsheet, which is subsequently shared with relevant factory personnel on a daily basis.
· Help manage the remedial rack spreadsheet by doing monthly audits and directing what glass will still be required or what will need to be disposed of.
· Help manage the remedial glass rack area and ensure it is safe, clean and in order.
· Handle the creation and processing of remake requests from both dayshift and nightshift production teams, including remake requests related to site instructions, site damaged or remedial works.
· Maintain records of individual production numbers for specific factory tasks, including beading, gearing, hanging, doors, cill & wood for the production managers.
· Update the live production spreadsheet daily, tracks status of plots in production, issue estimated dates of completion.
SMS Duties
· Support the effective use and ongoing development of the SMS technology system across the business
· Create, configure and maintain SMS technology forms to capture accurate and consistent information. Reviewing and improving forms as departments need.
· Build and maintain SMS technology dashboards and reports to provide clear visibility of workload, progress, key performance indicators and outstanding actions
· Support users with day-to-day system queries and data quality
· Add new users and give correct access required as well as removing users and changing access.
· Keep contact with SMS technology for any issues
