Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled (PTS) Mini Piling Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate mini piling equipment weighing below 10 tonnes, with digs paid, to assist in foundational and structural projects. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and precise installation of piling systems that support various construction initiatives. Responsibilities
- Operate mini piling machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment, including checks on mechanical components and safety features
- Assist in setting up work sites by coordinating with team members to prepare for piling activities
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including hours worked, equipment usage, and site conditions
- Collaborate with site supervisors and engineers to ensure precise placement and alignment of piles according to project specifications
- Support excavation activities using excavators when required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge and versatility
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Skills
- Proven experience operating mini piling equipment or similar machinery under 10 tonnes
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
- Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification or willingness to obtain it prior to start date
- Experience with excavators or other heavy machinery is highly desirable
- Ability to drive commercial vehicles safely and efficiently as needed on-site
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination on busy construction sites
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in all tasks
