Duties
- Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth
- Using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes for various gardening tasks
- Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
- Maintaining landscape features such as flower beds, lawns, shrubs, and trees
- Assisting with soil preparation, mulching, and pest control measures
- Monitoring plant health and identifying signs of disease or pests
- Ensuring all outdoor areas are kept tidy, safe, and visually appealing
Experience
- Prior experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is advantageous
- Growing experience or knowledge of plant care techniques is desirable
- Understanding of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles is beneficial
- A genuine interest in gardening, landscape design, or horticulture will be highly valued
