Head of Elective Access NHS | Interim 3-6m | Hybrid (East Midlands) | £350 - £400pd Inside IR35
Castlefield is pleased to be supporting an NHS Trust with a Head of Access & Performance to lead the delivery of key NHS access, waiting list and elective performance standards across the Trust.
Working closely with the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Divisional Managing Directors, Operational Managers, clinicians and corporate teams, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across 18-week RTT, diagnostics, cancer, elective waiting lists and outpatient performance
Key responsibilities:
- Lead Trust-wide performance across Cancer, 18-week RTT, Diagnostics, Elective Planned Care, Non-18 Week pathways and Cancelled Operations
- Provide strategic oversight of PTL management, waiting lists, performance monitoring and recovery trajectories, ensuring delivery against national standards
- Develop and implement robust performance management, reporting, validation and escalation frameworks to identify risks and drive improvement
- Work with Divisions, clinicians and corporate teams to deliver elective recovery, outpatient transformation, service improvement and Cost Improvement Programmes
- Build strong relationships with ICB, NHS England, commissioners and system partners, representing the Trust on access and performance matters
- Lead and develop teams across access, cancer, outpatient performance and validation, providing expert advice, training and operational leadership
About you:
- You will be an experienced NHS access, performance or operational leader
- Possess very strong knowledge of RTT, PTL management, elective recovery, diagnostics and national waiting time standards
- Have a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver measurable improvements in patient access
Please note: Acute NHS experience is essential for this post
