About the Role:
Easy Grab Go Ltd is looking for an energetic, reliable, and hands-on Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our Romford store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help lead the floor team, deliver exceptional customer service, maintain high operational standards, and step up to manage store shifts in the manager’s absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Operations: Support daily store operations, including opening/closing routines, hygiene standards, and health & safety compliance following company SOPs. Act as the primary keyholder/shift leader when required.
- Team Support: Assist in supervising, training, and guiding store staff and temporary crew to ensure smooth shift performance.
- Customer Experience: Deliver welcoming and responsive customer service, resolve customer inquiries or complaints efficiently, and maintain a vibrant store atmosphere.
- Cash & Token Handling: Adhere strictly to payment security protocols, including card-only counter sales and token machine replenishment/reporting under two-person controls.
- Stock & Presentation: Assist with inventory replenishment, restocking prize machines, maintaining attractive prize visual merchandising, and participating in routine stock counts.
- Daily Reporting: Log shift performance, report equipment or facility faults promptly, and escalate any stock/cash discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Requirements & Working Pattern:
- Hours: 40 hours per week across 6 working days (normally Tuesday to Sunday; Monday standard rest day).
- Flexibility: Must be able to work daytime, evening, and weekend closing shifts (closing shifts on Friday/Saturday may finish at or after 23:00).
- Eligibility: Valid Right to Work in the UK and satisfactory background/identity checks.
- Skills: Strong communication, proactive problem-solving, reliable team-player mindset, and high attention to detail regarding cash/stock controls.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
