Step Into Teaching is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Hinckley to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants for the September 2026 academic year. This full-time, term-time opportunity will see you supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence and build confidence while gaining invaluable experience for a future career in education.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers, therapists and SEND professionals to support pupils aged 4-19.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students in lessons and throughout the school day.
- Delivering targeted interventions on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Working with pupils with Autism (ASC), SEMH, MLD and communication needs.
- Supporting pupils' academic progress, social development and emotional wellbeing.
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and learning activities.
- Building positive relationships and promoting an inclusive learning environment.

Contract: Full-time | Monday-Friday | Term Time Only
Salary: £500-£530 per week

Candidate Requirements
- A 2:2 degree or above (all degree subjects considered).
- GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths.
- A genuine interest in education and SEND.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to making a positive impact.
