Job Description
Destiny Entertainments are actively seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-energy setting, demonstrating precision in their work while representing a can do attitude.
This role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, 09:00–18:00, with a rotating requirement of one week in every six working 13:00–23:00. Candidates must also be available to work weekends during the peak period of November to December.
Please note that the warehouse operates from 09:00 to 23:00, seven days a week, and flexibility to support these operating hours is essential.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against the provided documentation.
- Inspect goods for any damages and report discrepancies promptly.
- Properly label and store received items in designated locations
- Pick and pack customer orders quickly and accurately to meet tight deadlines.
- Ensure proper packaging of items to prevent damage during transportation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks and updates.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory levels.
- Utilize the stock management systems efficiently to ensure timely and accurate picking bin replenishment.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth warehouse operations.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift and pallet trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and high demand periods.
Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a high-energy, deadline-driven setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and related software.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift moderately heavy items.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
