Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and faults
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, transmission, and other vehicle systems
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Test vehicles post-repair to ensure all issues have been resolved and that they meet safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out on each vehicle
- Assist with the ordering of parts and supplies as needed
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of heavy components through heavy lifting when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within an automotive environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive repair (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy workshop setting

Pay: £26,025.66-£39,055.38 per year
