We're looking for a Landscape Operative to join Ground Control's team supporting the National Grid Hinkley Point Connection Project across the South West.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a major landscaping and environmental programme, working across a project spanning more than 340 square kilometres. You'll be involved in large-scale planting, habitat creation and landscape mitigation works that will leave a lasting legacy for local communities and the environment.

Working as part of a skilled and supportive team, you'll help deliver high-quality landscaping and environmental works safely and efficiently across the Hinkley Point Connection Project.
You'll be responsible for:
Carrying out tree, woodland and hedgerow planting works as part of National Grid's replacement planting commitments
Supporting landscape mitigation schemes designed to screen infrastructure and enhance local environments
Delivering planting and enhancement works on landowner sites throughout the South West region
Undertaking soft landscaping activities including planting, mulching, maintenance and establishment works
Supporting hard landscaping activities where required as projects develop
Operating tools, machinery and equipment safely and responsibly
Working in accordance with health and safety procedures, environmental standards and quality requirements
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
Keeping vehicles, equipment and work areas clean and presentable
Working collaboratively with supervisors, site managers, landowners and project stakeholders
Representing Ground Control professionally at all times

CSCS Card
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience within landscaping, construction, groundworks or a similar outdoor environment
Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to learn
Brush Cutter Licence
Experience delivering landscaping or environmental improvement projects
Relevant landscaping, horticultural or construction qualifications
Machinery operation certificates
PA1 / PA6 qualifications
