About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Secondary Steel Installer / Working Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will be physically involved in the installation of secondary steelwork and access systems while also supervising site activities and small installation teams.
You’ll work on the installation of steel staircases, ladders, access platforms, walkways, and associated access equipment, ensuring all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Alongside carrying out installation work yourself, you will coordinate labour, materials and site activities while maintaining Eurosafe’s high standards of quality and safety.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in the installation of secondary steelwork, including staircases, ladders, platforms, walkways, or access structures
- Experience working as a hands-on or working supervisor within steel installation or construction environments
- Strong practical installation skills and confidence working at height using ladders, access platforms, and related equipment
- Strong knowledge of health & safety practices, risk assessments, and method statements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for steel structures
- Experience supervising small installation teams and coordinating day-to-day site activities
- A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for site performance and outcomes
- Excellent communication skills to lead teams and liaise with clients, contractors, and colleagues
- Commitment to high standards of workmanship, safety, and compliance
- A full UK driving licence
- An Enhanced DBS check
Nice to Have
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- CSCS card
- Experience working on live industrial, commercial, or public sector sites
- Familiarity with access equipment, scaffolding, or fall protection systems
Location & Working Away
This role is based at our Sheffield office, with work carried out nationwide. Regular overnight stays may be required depending on project locations.
