Job Summary
12-14 Month Fixed-Term Contract Part-Time (25.00 hours per week) Competitive Salary Depending on Experience.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Temporary Practice Manager to join our friendly and well-established GP practice on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover for approximately 12-14 months.
To ensure a smooth transition and continuity of leadership, the successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive handover period with the current Practice Manager prior to commencement, together with a further period of overlap following their return.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Practice Manager, to lead a dedicated team and support the delivery of high-quality patient care with a support of a fabulous Assistant Practice Manager.
Duties
- Overall operational management of the practice
- Leadership and management of clinical and non-clinical staff
- Human resources, recruitment, and workforce planning
- Financial management, budgeting, and reporting
- Compliance with NHS regulations, CQC standards, and contractual requirements
- Premises and facilities management
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives and service development
- Working closely with GP Partners, PCN colleagues, and external stakeholders
Experience
- Proven supervisory or management experience within a healthcare setting
- Strong background in financial management, including budgeting and expense tracking
- Experience in human resources functions such as recruitment, staff development, and performance management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
