Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping children with additional needs build their confidence, independence and love of learning?
We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join welcoming primary schools in Moseley and surrounding areas.
The Role
You’ll be supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include Autism (ASC), ADHD, communication difficulties and social, emotional and learning needs.
Your day could involve:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 and small-group support
- Helping pupils access classroom learning and activities
- Supporting communication, confidence and independence
- Using positive strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
- Creating a positive environment where every child feels included and supported
Who Are We Looking For?
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant, childcare or SEN qualification – preferred but not essential
- Are patient, positive and resilient
- Can build strong relationships with pupils
- Have a genuine passion for helping children progress
- Have experience within education, care, youth work or a similar setting
