Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full Time Qualified Early Years Educator to join our vibrant childcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with young children, supporting their development and learning in a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating atmosphere that promotes early childhood education and well-being. Prior experience in nursery settings or early childhood education is highly desirable, along with strong communication skills and a genuine love for working with children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children’s developmental stages and interests
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills
- Monitor and assess individual progress, maintaining accurate records of children’s development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support each child's needs
- Manage daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play sessions
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent qualities within the team
- Support the organisation of educational resources and maintain a clean, organised learning environment
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in nursery or early years settings (nursery experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking initiative independently
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are preferred but not essential
