This facility is designed for young individuals aged 11-17 years with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
The Registered Manager will be instrumental in shaping the establishment and future success of the home. Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Manager is the Ofsted-registered person with day-to-day responsibility and accountability for the leadership, management and quality of care at the provision. The RM ensures the home is well-led, safe, compliant and ambitious for children, and that the specialist needs arising from learning disability, autism and complex presentations are met to a consistently high standard.
To provide the highest quality of care and support to children/ young people in accordance with company policies, procedures and protocols, and the standards set by the regulatory body.
To oversee effective safeguarding, care, and support for the children/ young people in your care, and leadership of the team of which you are in charge.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven track record in managing care planning processes within children's homes, with extensive Ofsted involvement.
Comprehensive knowledge of the legal framework and best practices pertaining to looked-after children.
Business and managerial acumen to supervise the home’s operations efficiently and effectively.
At least 3-5 years of experience as a Deputy Manager or years of experience as an OFSTED Registered Manager for LD Homes.
Capability to autonomously make significant decisions regarding the management of residential provisions, liaising with senior management to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery.
Qualifications & Training
Essential Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)
Relevant qualification, accredited training or substantial CPD specific to learning disabilities and/or autism in a residential childcare context.
Additional qualifications in autism practice, sensory needs, the Mental Capacity Act / DoLS, or therapeutic care.
Pay: £60,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
