About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive paralegal to join our busy Commercial IP and Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual with strong experience supporting fee earners across a broad range of matters.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting matters throughout their lifecycle. You will help ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements and transactional milestones, while delivering exceptional client service and administrative support to the wider team.
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, witness statements and court forms.
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries.
- Managing disclosure exercises and reviewing documentation.
- Preparing bundles for court hearings, mediations and meetings.
- Assisting with trial preparation and other litigation-related tasks.
- Filing documents with courts, tribunals and other relevant bodies.
- Monitoring key dates and assisting with the management of court deadlines, hearing dates and limitation periods.
- Supporting alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and third parties.
- Opening new files and setting them up on the firm's case management system.
- Assisting with client onboarding procedures, including conflict checks, AML compliance, engagement letters and collection of identification documents.
- Managing files, including opening and closing matters and maintaining file hygiene.
- Assisting with billing, debt recovery and compliance procedures.
- Taking accurate notes and minutes of meetings where required.
- Supporting fee earners with the day-to-day management of their caseloads.
Candidate Requirements
- Preferably at least 2 years' Paralegal experience within Dispute Resolution, Litigation, Intellectual Property, or Commercial Law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Professional, friendly, and client-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, proactive, and hard-working attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools is desirable
- Experience with a case management system

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
