Job Description:
Join a family-run precision engineering company with a focus on low-volume / high variety machined parts, with openings for those with expertise working with lathes and / or mills.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled CNC setter/operator to expand our manufacturing team, working with Lathe and / or Mill machining.
- Setting up and operating CNC machines
- Maintaining CNC machines
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances – low volume / high variety
- Inspecting parts using standard inspection tools
- Edit and set programs
Experience
Tarvin Precision is AS9100 certified, so the successful candidates will be detail-oriented, used to working with tight tolerances, and be adaptable to working with new systems.
Experience required depends on whether you apply for a Lathe or Milling position (or both!)
Lathes
- Experience with lathes essential, and CNC machining in general
- FANUC control – Lathes (Essential)
Milling
- Experience with mills essential, and CNC machining in general
- Heidenhain and / or Siemens control desirable
- Please note any other control experience in your application)
- Experience of HAAS control also considered
All applicants should have:
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- General workshop familiarity
- Please note any procedural experience (Lean, AS9100, etc) that may be relevant
- Understanding of working with safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
