About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Airfreight Operations Operator to manage the end-to-end handling of import and/or export airfreight shipments. You will be responsible for coordinating with airlines, customers, customs, and internal teams to ensure shipments move efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day airfreight import/export operations from booking through delivery
- Prepare and process shipping documentation (AWBs, customs paperwork, invoices)
- Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, customs brokers, and clients
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements
- Handle dangerous goods documentation where applicable (if certified)
- Maintain accurate records in operations/freight management systems
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in airfreight import or export operations
- Valid IATA certificate
- Solid understanding of international trade practices and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills for liaising with carriers, customers, and customs
Desirable Criteria:
- Dangerous Goods (DGR) training/certification

- Proficiency in freight management/logistics software
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
