Zen Educate is seeking Full-Time Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant partner schools in Colchester and surrounding towns such as Wivenhoe, Stanway, Coggeshall, and Tiptree. We are looking for committed individuals ready to work Monday to Friday (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM). The Mission
As a key member of the classroom team, you will:
- Drive Progress: Support the class teacher by leading small group interventions or working 1:1 with students to close learning gaps.
- SEN Specialist: Provide essential support for children with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed.
- Boost Engagement: Help keep the classroom environment focused, positive, and productive for everyone.
- Be a Role Model: Build trusting relationships with pupils to encourage their social, emotional, and academic development.
Who We Are Looking For
We want to hear from you if:
- Proven Experience: You have strong classroom experience or significant transferable experience working with children (e.g., specialized coaching, youth work, or childcare).
- SEN Savvy: You are confident and patient when supporting children with additional needs such as Autism or ADHD.
- Full-Time Commitment: You can commit to the full school week (8:30–4:00) for the duration of the term.
- Transport: You have access to a car or vehicle to easily reach schools across the Colchester area.
- Proactive Attitude: You are willing to complete all necessary compliance training and background checks to be classroom-ready.
