Cabinetmaker

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a full-time Cabinetmaker to join our friendly and skilled workshop team.
The Role
As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operating a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools to manufacture bespoke cabinets and fine furniture.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and workshop plans.
- Planning the sequence of cutting, shaping and assembly operations.
- Measuring and marking materials accurately from drawings and specifications.
- Selecting and matching timber for colour, grain and texture.
- Operating woodworking machinery including panel saws, spindle moulders, mortisers, tenoners, planers and other workshop equipment.
- Hand-finishing joints and components using traditional woodworking tools.
- Drilling and preparing components for assembly.
- Gluing, assembling and clamping furniture to a high standard.
- Sanding and preparing furniture ready for finishing.
- Repairing and restoring high-quality furniture where required.
- Fitting hardware including hinges, drawer runners, catches and handles.
- Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring a safe, tidy working environment.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least 2 years' experience in cabinetmaking or joinery (experience within bespoke furniture or kitchen manufacturing is an advantage).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently.
- A willingness to learn and continually develop new skills.

Salary
Starting from £32,500 negotiable to £40k dependent on skill level and experience
