We are a friendly, patient-focused opticians practice looking for a motivated Optical Consultant Apprentice to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience, a recognised qualification, and the chance to build a strong foundation for a career in optics.
About the Role
A key part of this role involves community engagement and canvassing to help raise awareness of our services and bring new patients into the practice. You will be trained and supported in how to do this confidently and professionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with the local community through canvassing and outreach
- Welcoming patients and providing excellent customer service
- Supporting appointment bookings and daily clinic operations
- Assisting with frame styling, lens options, and basic dispensing tasks
- Carrying out pre-screening tests (full training provided)
- Helping maintain an organised, smooth-running practice
What We’re Looking For
- Confident communicator with a friendly, outgoing personality
- Comfortable speaking to people in person and on the doorstep
- Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
- Able to work well within a team and follow structured training
- No previous optical experience needed
