We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Fitter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure window openings accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Install new windows using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques, ensuring secure and level placement.
- Remove old or damaged windows carefully to prevent damage to surrounding structures.
- Apply sealing, weatherproofing, and insulation materials to enhance energy efficiency and durability.
- Follow schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise installations.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to meet safety and building codes.
- Assist with related construction tasks such as plastering, masonry, or carpentry as needed to support window fitting projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with knowledge of window installation techniques.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication processes used in window fitting.
- Basic understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Experience working with roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, or masonry is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction painting and general carpentry skills beneficial for comprehensive project support.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform manual tasks safely.
