Main Purpose: Your roles as an HGV Driver is to transport goods between Mansfields, customers and farms in a safe manner, ensuring all compliances to driver rules and hours are adhered too. This also includes legislature on loading and securing your loads before and during transportation. Ensuring at all time the Health and Safety of yourself and the load is not compromised. You may be asked to perform FLT Driver tasks, or other tasks as instructed by your manager. You must ensure the vehicles you use are in a roadworthy condition and that any defects are reported via the ‘Defect Reporting Procedure’. The full list of tasks expected of you is included in your induction with the Transport Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Perform daily vehicle safety checks on all vehicles and trailers used and complete all relevant documentation.
· Collecting and delivering fruit from various farms/sites as well as farm supplies such as empty trays, apple bins and pallets etc.
· Loading and unloading the vehicle using a forklift truck/telehandler when required.
· Assisting with yard duties such as: vehicle shunting in the yard, loading/unloading vehicles and fruit stores, supporting Mansfield as required
Requirements:
· Must be willing to work weekends either Saturday or Sunday (agreed Rota)
· Must hold a full Class 1 (C+E) license.
· Forklift License desirable but not essential (training can be given).
· Hold a full Driver’s CPC.
· Have no more than 6 points on your license.
· Age must be 21+ for insurance reasons with no more than 6 points on your licence.
