Job Summary
To ensure the provision of a high standard of person-centered care to individual residents, in a safe, efficient and homely environment.
To ensure that the care delivered is reflective of the Care Plans formulated together by the Nursing Staff, Residents and Relatives.
To ensure that the Care Team is supported to deliver high standards of care through Training, Monitoring of Care Delivery and ongoing 1:1support of staff within the of the Home.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the care team to deliver exceptional care services tailored to each resident’s needs
- Develop, review, and update individual care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies to maintain high standards of safety and quality
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a motivated and cohesive work environment
- Oversee daily operations within the care home, including medication management, health monitoring, and activity planning
- Conduct regular staff supervision sessions, performance reviews, and training to promote professional development
- Promote effective communication among residents, families, staff, and external healthcare providers
- Assist with driving responsibilities for transportation needs or outings when necessary
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting with strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, staff, and external agencies
- Knowledge of care plans development and regulatory standards governing senior care services
- Strong IT skills for managing electronic records, documentation, and communication tools
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team while maintaining high standards of care
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
