Job Title: Complex HCA– Domiciliary & Complex Care (Diabetes, Acquired Brain Injury, PEG Feeding, Moving & Handling)

Job Type: 13 Hour Day shift a week (Every Thursday) 8am – 9pm

£14.50 Per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Carers to provide specialist domiciliary and complex care for one of our service users.
- Service User 1: Requires support with diabetes management, acquired brain injury (ABI), PEG feeding, medication administration, and personal care.
This role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care while promoting the independence and well-being of both service users in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored, one-to-one care for service user based on their specific needs.
- Support mobility, transfers, and repositioning using proper moving and handling techniques, hoists, and other mobility aids.
- Assist with personal care, incontinence care, and hygiene support.
- Monitor and manage diabetes care, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration if required.
- Administer PEG feeding and ensure adherence to feeding protocols.
- Safely administer medication in line with care plans.
- Provide emotional and social support, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best care outcomes.
- Maintain clear and accurate care records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience in diabetes management and awareness of related symptoms and complications.
- Knowledge and experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI).
- Competence in PEG feeding and managing enteral feeding tubes.
- Proficiency in moving and handling, repositioning, and using hoists or mobility aids.
- Ability to assist with incontinence care and personal care.
- Strong understanding of medication administration and care plans.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Mandatory Induction:
In line with our company policy, all new starters are required to attend a mandatory two-day induction programme as part of the onboarding process.
This induction is essential to ensure you are fully prepared, compliant, and confident in your role with KASE Care.
The programme will include:
- Maths/Medication and English assessments
- A presentation on KASE Care, including our company values and CQC regulations and guidelines
- A group exercise
- Collection and verification of onboarding documentation and ID
- Issuing of ID badges and uniforms
- Introduction to the KASE Care management team and an overview of their roles
- Overview of our eLearning and policy platforms (logins will be provided)
- Allocation of access to our Care Planner Platform (used for care notes, medication administration, and call logging)
- A one-hour session with our Safeguarding and Compliance Lead, covering expectations, record keeping, and safeguarding responsibilities
- Face-to-face training in Basic Life Support, First Aid, and Moving & Handling
Attendance at both days of the induction is mandatory and required before you can be onboarded and begin delivering care.
