Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Maintenance Planner to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities across our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and supervising maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role requires strong management skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The Facilities Maintenance Planner will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and optimising maintenance workflows.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities for building systems and equipment.
- Coordinate reactive maintenance tasks and allocate work orders to engineers and subcontractors.
- Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure works are completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with accurate job records.
- Liaise with facilities managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients regarding maintenance activities.
- Track asset maintenance history and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Review maintenance reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate access to sites and ensure all necessary permits and safety procedures are followed.
- Support the procurement of parts, materials, and contractor services when required.
- Produce maintenance performance reports and KPI summaries
Experience
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Good knowledge of building maintenance systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAFM/CMMS systems.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
