Responsibilities:
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for young children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility in adapting to the needs of individual children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear background check
