We are looking to appoint a Laser Operator at our Head Quarters in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. You will work as part of our busy production team and be responsible for the operating of our laser to produce high quality components.
Duties will include:
- Operate laser cutting machine to cut parts according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust laser cutting parameters for different materials and thicknesses.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow.
- Loading and unloading the machine.
- Achieve a clean and burr-free cut.
- Keeping material stocks at agreed levels at all times to ensure the machine is always running, thereby eliminating downtime.
- Assisting in other areas where required.
The above positions will be rewarded with a permanent contract, progressive rates of pay, 32 days paid holidays per year plus loyalty days (up to 34 days), auto-enrolment into our pension scheme which includes 5% employer contributions and employee life insurance.
Working 39 hours, Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern
