SNAAP is a charity which works with disabled children and their families. Although we mainly operate in the Canterbury District, we run a Saturday Club and Easter/Summer Holiday Playscheme in Folkestone and Sittingbourne and looking for new staff to join our teams. You can work in just one location or both.
One Saturday a month 9.30am-3.30pm in Folkestone and 9.30-5.30pm in Sittingbourne.
Summer - days are 9.30-3.30 and between 27th July and 28th August (Mon-Fri's only)
Please note: Although these are guaranteed regular hours, we do not have any other work available in Folkestone or Sittingbourne.
The role: To look after disabled children aged 8-18.
Children will have severe and complex needs and will include physical disabilities and severe challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for them on a 1:1 basis and carry out personal care, help with feeding and ensure they have a fun day of appropriate play during the club.
You must have a good understanding of safeguarding and willing to attend training at our office in Herne Bay, be warm and welcoming to parents and carers and be able to implement, monitor and help evaluate children's targets/goals.
You must have had a minimum of 1 years experience of working with disabled children.
Training and Induction is held at our offices in Herne Bay.
A DBS is required.
