About the Role
Are you an experienced Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to take the next step?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established provider for a Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed Ofsted-regulated Children's Home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
We also welcome applications from experienced and aspiring Deputy Managers who are ready to take the next step into their first Registered Manager position. If you have a proven track record within children's residential care, strong leadership skills, and the ambition to progress, we would love to hear from you.
Established in 2019, the home currently accommodates 3 young people and is looking for an inspirational leader to drive the service forward. Following recent management changes, the home has a Requires Improvement Ofsted rating, presenting an excellent opportunity for a motivated manager to achieve a Good or Outstanding outcome.
You'll be supported by an experienced Responsible Individual with an excellent track record of developing successful children's services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the day-to-day management of the children's home.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted Regulations, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for young people.
- Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Oversee safeguarding, care planning, quality assurance and risk management.
- Build positive relationships with Local Authorities, families and external professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement and achieve positive Ofsted outcomes.
- Manage staffing, budgets and occupancy.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Home.
- A good understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

- 75% Occupancy – £5,000
- 80% Occupancy – £6,000
- 85% Occupancy – £7,500
- 90% Occupancy – £10,000
- 95%+ Occupancy – £12,500
Outstanding
- 75% Occupancy – £7,000
- 80% Occupancy – £8,500
- 85% Occupancy – £10,000
- 90% Occupancy – £12,000
- 95%+ Occupancy – £15,000
Bonus is calculated annually based on the home's average occupancy (1 April–31 March) and the most recent Ofsted inspection outcome.
