We are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team at our Bedford Depot.
Reporting to the Depot Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our plant machinery reaches customers safely, efficiently and on time. You’ll primarily be responsible for transporting Telescopic Handlers, Rotos and Smart Tanks, while delivering the high level of service our customers expect from Ardent Hire.
As a valued member of The A-Team, you’ll represent the company on the road and at customer sites, ensuring every delivery is carried out professionally, safely and with excellent customer service.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 06:00–17:00 shifts.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a stable Monday–Friday working pattern.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- A valid LGV Category C1 + CE Licence
- A valid Driver Digital Tachograph Card
- An up-to-date CPC qualification – proof required
- NPORS Loader Securer qualification – preferred
- A good understanding of plant and machinery
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good spoken and written English
- No more than 3 points on your driving licence
- A reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach
- The ability to work independently while being part of a wider team
Previous experience transporting plant machinery would be highly advantageous.
