Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Worker/Team Leader to join our team in providing high-quality care within a care home environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising care staff, ensuring the delivery of personalised care plans, and maintaining excellent communication with residents, families, and colleagues. Duties
- Oversee daily care operations, ensuring all residents receive compassionate and professional support.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and leadership to maintain high standards of care.
- Assist with the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management.
- Foster effective communication between residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
- Organise staff rotas and oversee shift handovers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and staff supervision using IT systems.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or senior care setting is essential.
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs if required.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to care environments. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to delivering exceptional care while leading a team towards continuous improvement in service quality.
- Knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding procedures
- Medication training and competency (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Health & Social Care (preferred or working towards)
Pay: £25,000.00 per year
