AV Support 247 Ltd is seeking a passionate, experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead a brand-new residential children's home supporting young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
In this role you will:
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager
- Lead the full registration process and all pre-opening requirements
- Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Develop and implement high-quality care planning and risk management systems
- Recruit, lead, supervise and develop a strong residential team
- Promote safeguarding excellence and child-centred practice
- Manage budgets, resources and occupancy levels effectively
- Build strong partnerships with Local Authorities and external professionals
- Drive continuous improvement with the aim of achieving a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating
This is a leadership role requiring resilience, strategic thinking and a strong understanding of regulatory expectations.Essential Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or registered and actively working towards completion within agreed timescales
- At least 2 years' experience in a Children's Home
- Minimum 1 years' experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Team Leader or substantial experience as a Deputy Manager within an Ofsted-registered children's home
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding, childcare legislation and Ofsted frameworks
Desirable Experience
- Experience leading a home to a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating
- Experience working with EBD and complex trauma
- Strong understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed approaches
