Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates to care plans and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Use IT systems to document care activities, update schedules, and manage client information securely
- Support clients with home care tasks such as light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation if required
Qualifications
- Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
- Previous experience working in providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to drive is preferred for roles involving transportation or supporting clients outside of the care setting
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and updating care plans accurately
- A caring attitude with strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies is desirable but can be learned on the job
