Job Overview
We are seeking friendly and enthusiastic casual Bar staff to join our vibrant team. This role offers flexible hours ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry or seeking supplementary income. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A positive attitude, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities for this role.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks, beverages and food to customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Provide support for our functions team when required with food service
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including organising stock and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the POS system
- Assist with setting up and packing down the bar before and after service
- Provide friendly advice on drink choices and promote specials or new products
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing regulations is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol legally
