Job Title: Lunchtime Assistant/Cook
Hours: 10.00 - 1:00pm - Term-time only
Description:
We are looking to appoint a Cook/Lunchtime supervisor to be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen including preparing and delivering nutritious snacks and lunches to the children attending nursery.
You will be responsible for:
· Preparing and presenting a freshly cooked lunchtime meal to serve to the children attending the setting
· Prepare afternoon snack for the children
· Plan a well-balanced, healthy menu
· Ensuring the kitchen is clean and to the highest possible standard
· Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and report any problems to the nursery manager
· Complete Food Hygiene training and strictly follow Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures at all times
· Help to maintain our 5* Food Hygiene rating
Desirable criteria:
· Experience in a food preparation and delivery
· Good knowledge in healthy, well-balanced food/meals
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
